Can I leave things in my drawers?
Yes, as long as nothing is breakable. We shrink wrap all furniture.
Should I disconnect my electronics?
Yes, it will save you time and therfore money. Secure and label your cords.
Will you assemble or disassemble any of my furniture items?
We will help you with the basic breaking down and reassembly of typical in-house items such as tables or beds.
What if I cannot be present at the time of delivery?
Notify us as soon as you are aware of this fact, we will have you fill out a "Third Party Authorization Form", which gives someone else the right to act on your behalf, when we arrive to deliver your items.
What if I use less boxes than you gave me?
We will take back any unused boxes and you are only charged for what you use.
What if it takes less time than your estimate?
You are only charged for the actual time it takes to complete your move.
How should I label my boxes?
Label each box indicating which room it will go to upon delivery. Pack fragile items carefully in separate boxes, and label those boxes as "FRAGILE". Tape each box shut.
What is partial packing?
Partial packing is the packing, wrapping or crating of glass tops, all sizes of TV sets, pictures, mirrors, glass items, lamps, china cabinets, etc.
What is full packing?
The mover will enter your residence and pack everything for you. It is recommended that you retain any valuables, medicines, legal papers with you for the move.
Can we help the movers?
For insurance reasons, customers are not allowed on the truck, so the best way to help is to be prepared before hand. If you are packing yourself, have all your packing done, boxes labeled, etc. This will allow our crew to do their job efficiently.
What is valuation protection?
It is the maximum protection a moving company will be liable for if an item is damaged during transit.
Does my homeowners policy cover my items for a move?
Most homeowners policies do not provide coverage. Call your company to see if they can supply you with coverage. Make sure the policy includes coverage while your goods are in the movers possession and not just while the movers are in your residence.
What if I need something hoisted?
If you know that you have an item that will need to be hoisted let us know at the time of estimate so proper arrangements can be made.
Can you move plants?
Yes, but unfortunatley we cannot guarantee their safety. In general, we
recommend that you make arrangements to transport your plants.
